Have you ever met someone who you just know is going to change the world and do big things with their life? Amy is that person.
I’ve known her for as long as I can remember. Our parents are neighbors, we grew up a few doors down form each other. I used to babysit her and her brother Ryan many moons ago. When she called me for her graduation portraits I was very excited to catch up with her.
She has already made a huge impact in the lives of so many & she is just fresh out of college. Graduating from The University of Oregon, (she finished early I might add), she is truly beautiful inside and out. Her list of charity work, community service and fundraising is beyond impressive.
She works with...
-The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
-Rady Children's Hospital, dressing up as princesses for sick children
She has ran in….
-The Nike Women’s Marathon
-The Rock and Roll Marathon
She just landed a job with Frundraise.com, a social fundraising platform that allows anyone to create and manage online fundraisers. You don't have to be a 501c3!
But the really impressive part is not the list itself, but the passion behind it. Amy’s desire in life is to serve and help others; it’s quite remarkable and admirable…she’s unlike anyone I’ve ever met. Not to mention, she’s overcome some adversity herself. Amy and her brother are both adopted by some very amazing parents Jean and Dennis. As a child her mother Jean was diagnosed with very serious cancer that almost took her life. Amy has overcome so much and has become such a beautiful person. I’m so proud of her and the woman she has become. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for the world!!
